S111 & S111L SERVICE CARRIERS NOW INCLUDE
THE COMPANION FLANGE

Service Parts Heavy Axle Customers
Dana is pleased to announce two significant changes to the S111 family models.
THE S111/S111L MODEL SERVICE CARRIERS NOW INCLUDE THE COMPANION FLANGE: Effective
immediately all new S111 & S111L model service carriers will now be sold with the companion
flange installed by Dana. Having the companion flange installed saves installation time. New
service part numbers for the carriers are shown in the chart below.
The Spicer OE Production number for the companion flange on these models is 5009516, and is
sold in the aftermarket as Spicer part number 70-1-09516X.
NEW NON-ABS S111L DESIGN CARRIERS RELEASED: Three NEW S111L non-ABS service carriers
have now been released. All S111L model applications before 2013 included the ABS sensor
and tone ring as part of the carrier design. On Spicer
®
S111L OEM applications in 2013, the ABS
systems have been moved to the wheel ends and away from the carrier. If replacing this
particular design carrier, customers should order the new non-ABS carriers shown below.
